Apropos the earnest request of the Arunachal Pradesh Government, the Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math
had ultimately agreed to set up a
new center in the District of East Kameng which will cater proper education for the children of the State. Apart from academic pursuit there will be some Vocational Trainings so that the youth of the locality may stand up on their own feet and become a true citizen of the Country. Swami Vivekananda said “Education is the Manifestation of The Perfection Already in Man” and accordingly wanted the students to become perfect in every respect in order to prove that they are truly Educated. He also emphasised on Technical Education and encouraged Jamshedji Tata to build up an Industry in our own country subsequent to which we got the Steel Industry of India and many more.
INTRODUCTION
Accordingly in the first week of March, 2017 a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Government of Arunachal Pradesh and the Ramakrishna Mission to the start up a new center at village Lumdung, P.O. Seppa, Dist : Kameng (E) on a piece of land to be provided by the Government and also some reasonable fund to allotted from the Primary Education budget in the financial year 2017-18. In the 4th week of
June 2017 Swami Bodhasarananda accompanied by Swami Sarvagananda came to Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh when 14.69 Ha. of land was handed over to them as Gift by the Natung Community at Vill. Lumdung, P.O. Seppa, and the State Government gave a grant in aid for initialization of the infrastructural construction work at Lumdung. It is just above the Pappu Valley which is also called the Rice Bowl of Arunachal.
The construction work of the school should start by October 2017 whereas in meantime the State Govt. would take care of the Approach Road ( currently no motorable road is there ), and supply of water from the adjacent hill. Installation of Electrical Transformer should also immediately follow along with by installation of Telephone Tower for data communication. On the adjacent hill there is a perennial water source which will be utilized to monitor constant water supply for the School as well as for nearby villages. Our ex-student, Dr. Tanie Natung, Associate Professor of NEIGRIHMS, Shillong and Mr. Mama Natung, Parliamentary Secretary, RD and Panchayet and local MLA are very much interested to bring in Ramakrishna Mission in the locality, and thus the key persons for the entire coordination among the departments and also they are encouraging the Government Machinery to extend all sorts of cooperation and support to the Mission in the process of execution of the said Institution.
